Education Will Not Save Us

The United States economy slowly chugs along like a train coasting without any power. It is only a matter of time until we run out of steam and enter a state like Greece or Argentina. Sometimes when discussing this issue, the sound of “education” will sound out, but this will not save us.

Foreign countries like China and India are rapidly developing. They are building schools. They are building universities. They are giving out scholarships. We, in the United States, are not the only people in the world capable of learning and getting a higher education.

We cannot expect our education to give us an advantage over foreign competition because they are going to school too. At the end of the day, places like China will have engineers and scientists with impressive degrees yet still working at a fraction of the cost of workers in the United States. We have to stop thinking of China as a third-world country. It isn’t.

Chinese Education

They are like the United States. They have an incredible tech industry. The Chinese are innovating with education too. The only difference is that the Chinese have protective tariffs in place that protect their industries and provide jobs for their people.

It is only a matter of time before more of our strongest jobs in the tech field are outsourced. They will be left behind just like jobs in the car industry, steel industry, textiles, and many other decent paying jobs in manufacturing. And when we lose good jobs in manufacturing to people in foreign countries, they are replaced with low paying jobs in the service industry.

We have to stop shipping our jobs overseas while importing cheap goods from overseas. Would we rather have an entry level job that doesn’t require a college education paying $30/hour or be able to buy a slightly cheaper shirt and shoes. We can’t have both.

We need Industrial jobs here in the U.S.A Not sales work that is being pushed unto people . Just as bad as Health care hiring people for sales and also phone work.

America wants and needs their jobs back . Where we all can say made In The U.S.A with pride. Not just the labels saying a product was.
